We finally held Katy's party for her 5th birthday. It was only a few weeks late!! She wanted to have a big girl party and have a sleepover. So she invited her two best buds Lauren & Dorian. After I got off work we stopped by and picked the twins up and they informed me that they, "Been buggin' all day!"
We piled into the truck and drove over to Quincy to eat supper at McDonalds. (Kate's restaurant of choice.) After chowing down on french fries and chocolate milk we headed into the play place. Man that place is LOUD!! Luckily I had the foresight to bring my Kindle, so I settled in to read while the girls got down to the business of playin' and makin' new friends!
Two hours later my eardrums had had enough so we headed home. The girls took some extra long bubble baths. (Courtesy of a half a bottle of shampoo!) After they got jammies on we popped some popcorn, drug out lots of pillows and blankies and settled in to watch Monsters Vs. Aliens.
Dorian did not last long. She was sound asleep 30 minutes into the movie so I carried her into Sylvias bed. Lauren followed about 20 minutes later. Kate stayed up till the end and then crawled into bed with Dorian who was a little furnace!
Their mama picked them up the next morning and Katy declared her 5th birthday the Best! Birthday! Ever!
